Tips:
- Print the paper double sided. If your printer doesn't support double sided press: print page 1, put the sheet dorsum into the printer upside down, then print page 2.
- Normal newspaper works OK and card stock works even better.
- Cut out around the red circles. They're slightly smaller than the blue ones on purpose.
Paper Bauble Instructions
Step one
Utilize your glass and pencil to draw 12 circles onto your paper and cutting them out. I'll utilise three dissimilar colours, but you can use as many or equally few equally you lot like.
Paper that has different colours on the dorsum and front gives a nice result, if you can find some.
Step two
Fold all the circles in one-half and stack them on summit of each other.
For the obsessive compulsive (like me!), hither are some tips for getting a symmetric-looking colour distribution on the final bauble:
If using iii colours A B C, then stack them in the order ABBCCAABBCCA.
If using ii colours A B, then stack them in the gild ABBAABBAABBA.
If using a unmarried type of bill of fare, but double sided , and then alternating "heads up" and "tails up".
Step 3
Wrap a length of wire all the fashion around the stack, so that it runs along the fold. Twist the ends together to secure. Y'all can but see the wire in this photo - it'southward the thin black line downwards the heart.
If you don't have wire, you tin can also just staple the stack together, once at the superlative and one time at the bottom, so that the staple sits right on the fold.
Stride 4
Stick a glue dot onto a circle, well-nigh 1/3 of the way from the bottom. The dot is hard to see, so I'm pointing to it with a pencil. Fold the facing flaps together and press to secure the bond.
If you don't have glue dots, y'all tin can apply double sided record or a bit of glue. I prefer non to use regular glue, because it can warp the paper.
Step 5
On the side by side circle along, stick a gum dot nearly one/three of the way from the acme. Continue similar this all the way around, alternating high and depression glue dots.
Step 6
One time yous've glued all the next flaps together, this is what the finished bauble looks similar from the acme and from the side.
Now y'all tin can attach a ribbon and hang it your Christmas tree. Or requite information technology every bit a gift for someone else to hang on their tree :-)
